Changing Computer/Monitor on the Stand

Changing Computer/Monitor on the Stand

Problem:
Your touch screen computer needs to be replaced and you have received a new device from Impirica. You can follow the below instructions to complete the replacement.

Solution:
  1. Ensure the computer is powered down and disconnected from the wall power outlet.
  2. Place the machine in the down position; make sure the silver pins are locked.
  3. Ensure all the USB Cables, Audio cable, Network cable and power cable are unplugged from the system.
  4. Remove the 4 screws holding the monitor to the stand.
    1. NOTE: If you have a second person available to assist, it will make the next steps easier.
    2. Please place one hand underneath the screen to ensure the monitor does not drop on the stand as you are loosening the screws.

  5. Once all the screws are removed, gently move the monitor away from the stand and place it to the side.
    1. Place the monitor on its back (touch screen up) to avoid damaging the screen.
  6. Slide in the replacement monitor and screw in the 4 screws.
    1. This can be tricky as you have to support the monitor with one hand underneath until you have the 4 screws in and tightened enough.
  7. Once the monitor is in place, plug back in the cables you removed earlier.
  8. Plug the computer back in to the wall power outlet.
  9. Power on the machine and ensure everything is working as intended.
  10. Test the touch screen and the USB devices (keyboard, speakers and buttons)
  11. If your device is not connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable, connect the machine to the wireless network.
  12. Perform a practice assessment.
