Pausing, Resuming, Exiting, and Aborting Assessments

Video Guide:

Written Guide:

There are 2 screens you can encounter:
  1. Interrupt Screen
  2. Pause Screen

Interrupt Screen:

The interrupt screen will appear when an action causes an interruption to the app. The interruptions include but are not limited to:
  1. Minimizing the app using the home button.
  2. Dragging down from the top of the tablet to access the notification screen.
  3. Dragging up from the bottom of the tablet to return to the home screen.

Pause Screen:

The pause screen will appear when an assessment is intentionally stopped using the "X" in the top left corner. The "X" is designed to be inconspicuous to avoid distracting the participant.
Only the Evaluator should interact with it.

Hold your finger on the "X" until the menu appears.
Alert
Please ensure you are precise when holding down the "X" button instead of swiping. Swiping motions may cause the interrupt screen to appear.
The menu will have 3 options:
  1. Resume
  2. Pause and Exit
  3. Abort

Resume:

When selecting the resume option:
  1. Task 1 will resume from where it was paused.
  2. Task 2 will resume at the next attempt.
  3. Task 3 will restart the stage.
  4. Task 4 will restart the task.

Pause and Exit:

Select the "Pause and Exit" option if you'd like to resume the assessment later. Tap "Yes" to proceed with pausing and exiting or tap "No" to go back.
Alert
Assessments must be resumed within seven days. Paused assessments do not produce a report.
To resume an assessment:
  1. Select the correct dataset and participant.
  2. Tap on the "Resume Vitals" or "Resume DCAT" button.
It will resume the assessment from the first incomplete task or stage.
Exiting the assessment early does not store partial task progress. Only fully completed tasks and stage progress are stored.

Abort:

Select the "Abort" option if the participant is unable to complete the assessment due to impairment.
AlertThis will finalize the assessment and produce a report. Aborted assessment cannot be resumed and comments are required.
Tap "YES" to proceed with aborting or tap "NO" to go back.
